MINISTRY & OUTREACH
Many of the children we minister to on a weekly and even daily basis in Bangladesh fall into the category of orphaned or vulnerable children. In this region, an “orphaned child” often means a child who has lost one parent or both, or who has been left in the care of extended family, neighbors, or family friends because their caregivers are unable to provide for them.
These children live in situations shaped by poverty, sickness, conflict, displacement, or sudden disaster. Because of this, they face high levels of hardship — including limited access to food, difficulty staying in school, unstable living environments, and the threat of separation from whatever family they may still have. Without support, many experience emotional trauma, deep insecurity, and social isolation at a very young age.
In Bangladesh, some vulnerable children are placed in residential care or orphanages. While these environments can provide safety, they also come with challenges. Children may become disconnected from remaining family, feel alone, or lack individualized care that a healthy home environment would normally provide. For this reason, caring for orphaned children must involve more than simply providing a place to stay — it requires consistent love, ongoing attention, emotional support, and spiritual guidance.
Our team in Bangladesh is committed to doing exactly that. Currently, we are caring for 100 orphaned and vulnerable children, giving them access to:
-
Daily food and nutrition, ensuring they are physically healthy
-
Education, helping them build a future of opportunity and stability
-
Healthcare, meeting the medical needs that are so often overlooked
-
Safe and stable environments, where they can grow without fear
-
Spiritual support, teaching them the Word of God and helping them grow in faith
These children are not only receiving help for their physical needs — they are also growing spiritually, learning about the love of Jesus, and experiencing what it means to belong to a community that truly cares for them. Our work continues each day as we strive to bring hope, dignity, and lasting change to some of the most vulnerable children in Bangladesh. This is more than relief work — it is restoring childhood, building futures, and planting seeds of faith that will shape generations to come.
